Abounding Fellowship is a new church plant committed to nurturing young hearts through our Abounding Kids program. While we are excited about what we have in place, we are still in the process of developing and expanding our children's ministry. We appreciate your understanding as we continue to implement programs and activities that align with our mission to help children grow in their faith and love for God. Our focus is on creating a welcoming and engaging environment where kids can learn, play, and build lasting friendships rooted in biblical truth.
What to Expect
When you visit Abounding Kids, you and your children will be welcomed by caring and friendly team members who are passionate about teaching and nurturing young hearts. Led by Amy Piearcy, who brings over a decade of experience as an elementary teacher and holds a Master's Degree in Special Education, our team is equipped to provide an inclusive and enriching environment. Amy's role as a diagnostician at Wylie speaks to her deep understanding and love for children, including those with special needs. At Abounding Kids, every child is valued, supported, and encouraged to grow in their faith and understanding of God's Word.
What We Are Learning
Sunday Morning's: "The Biggest Story"
Join us for an exciting journey through the entire Bible with "The Biggest Story Curriculum".
Surveying Scripture from Genesis to Revelation, we'll explore God's grand narrative of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration. This survey will highlight major events, key figures, and central themes of the Bible, showing how every story ultimately points to Jesus Christ. Participants will gain a big-picture understanding of Scripture, learning how each book fits into God's plan for His people and how the Bible remains relevant for our lives today.
Sunday Evening's: "Adventure Club Curriculum"
Dive deep into systematic theology and scripture memorization with the "Adventure Club Curriculum (Second Edition)" and "The Ology by Marty Machowski."
This engaging curriculum explores key biblical topics such as the Bible, God, Christ, the Holy Spirit, angels, the church, and end times, presented in a clear and systematic flow. Through object lessons, thoughtful discussion questions, and catechism-style questions and answers, children will learn central biblical truths paired with scripture memory verses and weekly activities. These tools help participants organize biblical truths into clear categories, fostering a deeper understanding of God's Word and its practical application in everyday life while encouraging them to hide God's Word in their hearts.
Wednesday Evening's: "Defending Your Faith"
Strengthen your faith with a focus on apologetics and a biblical worldview. Apologetics is the practice of defending the Christian faith through reason, evidence, and Scripture. Using resources like Natasha Crane's Keeping Your Kids on God's Side series, The Thinking Toolbox, The Fallacy Detective, and Case for Christ for Kids, participants will learn how to think critically, identify logical fallacies, and respond to common objections to Christianity. Additionally, studies like Yes, God is Real! by Frank Turek, Young Defenders by Melissa Cain Travis, and Summit Ministries' Building on the Rock will help families and children develop a solid biblical worldview, equipping them to confidently live out and share their faith in a skeptical world.
