Learn about our youth ministry
Abounding Youth
At Abounding Youth, we strive to create an environment where young people can build strong, meaningful relationships while deepening their faith and understanding of God's Word. Our focus is not only on providing fun and engaging activities but also on fostering personal and spiritual growth. Through Bible-centered teachings, discussions, and community outreach, we aim to equip youth to live boldly for Christ in their everyday lives.
We believe that this pivotal stage in life is a time to encourage questions, provide guidance, and build a foundation rooted in truth. Our dedicated leaders are here to mentor, support, and inspire each student, ensuring that they know they are valued and loved. Whether your teen is new to church or has been attending for years, they will find a welcoming place to grow, serve, and discover their unique gifts and purpose in God's kingdom.
Youth Group
Our weekly gathering is designed for students in every stage of life. Whether unsaved, new to their relationship with Jesus, or disciples of Jesus, we attempt to reach them where they are, through the sharing of God's Word, relationships, and interactive small groups. We meet every Sunday at 6:00 PM and every Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
Community Events & Outreach
We believe that community and outreach have lasting effects on the students we engage with. From Summer youth camps to Mission Trips, we take the time to intently getting to know your students better and investing in their spiritual lives through these events. Make sure to follow our Instagram page to be kept up to date with the future events we have planned and also for more information and resources!
According to the American Worldview Inventory (AWVI) 2023, only 4% of American adults hold a biblical worldview. This means today's youth will encounter many ideas that may sound spiritual but do not align with the truth of the Bible. Charles Spurgeon wisely said, "Discernment is not knowing the difference between right and wrong, but knowing the difference between right and almost right."
At Abounding, our youth are immersed in doctrines, systematic theology, apologetics, and training in logic—teaching them not what to think, but how to think critically and biblically. The Bible highlights the importance of discernment, as seen in Hebrews 5:14: "But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to distinguish between good and evil."
Youth need apologetics to build a strong foundation for their faith. Apologetics equips them with the intellectual tools to defend their beliefs against challenges they will face in school, social circles, and the complexities of the modern world. By learning to articulate and stand confidently in their Christian convictions, they will be prepared to engage opposing viewpoints with clarity and grace.
Our students will leave with a firm foundation in biblical principles while cultivating a heart for service, evangelism, missions, and personal sanctification. This holistic approach prepares them to confidently navigate the challenges of the world while living out their faith with purpose and conviction.
